GRAND RE-OPENING AT HOD ROD
Saturday, February 9th 11-7 PM
Hot Rod, one of Los Angeles’ most iconic sneaker/street wear destinations, is pleased to announce a grand reopening of the fully renovated store on Saturday, February 9th, 2013.
Since 1995, Hot Rod has evolved into the premier skate shop for professional skateboarders, young actors, and tastemakers alike. From Eric Koston, Patrick Martinez, Rob Dyrdek, the store has played a major role in the course of skate history.
The shop also played host to barbecues, rooftop ventures, ping-pong tournaments and parking lot quarter pipe sessions, creating a collection of some most memorable moments in the city’s skate culture.
Today, Hot Rod has transitioned from a small, underground skate shop to a skate/sneaker and streetwear nirvana. The store has become known for carrying premium goods from brands like Nike SB, Vans Vault, Converse, Stussy, The Hundreds and everyone in between. And now the Westwood Blvd. mainstay is undergoing a brand new renovation.
Though it may be bittersweet to see the iconic sign, one that symbolized the beginnings of both skate and sneaker culture in Los Angeles, be taken down, it’s time for Hot Rod to mature into adulthood, and birth the new and improved brand, ‘Hot Rod: The Gentlemen’s Sneaker Club.’ Like any other culmination, this one deserves a celebration. Therefore, the Hot Rod family is proud to be hosting a re-opening party on February 9th with Free Haircuts From Proper Barber Shop, food, drinks, music, and gift bags provided by The Hundreds. Come celebrate the new Hot Rod with the crew.
